How do I register for the Social Media Boot Camp Information and/or Training Sessions?

On our website perthsocialmedia.ca – you can click on Register Now at the top of the website in RED or if you scroll down the web page, there is also a BLUE Box that says Register.

If you would like to register for a training session NOW, please check the SCHEDULE on the website and e-mail Melissa at melissa@ms2.ca, with the Day, and Time you wish to attend. Please include you telephone number and address, and we will book you immediately for the session of your choice.

We can also book a Private Customized Training Session for your Business/Group/Organization (10-15 people per session preferred). We look forward to working with you!

What is the difference between the Social Media Boot Camp Information Session and the Training Session?

The 2 hour Information will give an overview of Social Media, answering participant questions such as “What is social media?”, “How does it work?”, and “Does it really benefit me and/or my business/organization?” This session will include the use of video, interactive discussion, and will offer examples and guest appearances by business owners who are successfully using social media.

The 3 hour interactive Training Session in a computer lab will include hands-on training with 1 hour on Twitter, 1 hour on Facebook & Linked In, and 1 hour on YouTube & Vimeo. Participants will be assisted in setting up social media accounts, creating profiles, and establishing virtual connections and networks with other participants. In addition, participants will discover best practices and how they can use these tools personally and professionally to their advantage.

Do I have to attend more than 1 Training Session?

No. We know your time is valuable, so we have created a 3 hour interactive hands-on program covering all topics in 1 Session.

Is there a cost?

2 hour Information Session is FREE

3 hour Training Session is $45

When can I register for a Training Session?

You will be able to register SOON for Training Sessions using the same process as Registering for the Information Sessions. You will be able to sign in to the account you already created through the link at perthsocialmedia.ca.

Registration for Training Sessions will commence during the week of January 11th, 2009.

How many people will be in a Training Session?

There will be a maximum of 15 people per Training Session.

Where are the Information and Training Sessions located?

On our website, if you click on Schedule at the bottom of the page, all of the locations/dates/times are available.

Can I bring my own laptop?

Absolutely. If you’ll feel more comfortable using your own, feel free. Training Locations have WI-FI capabilities. But we do provide the use of a computer — either laptops or in a computer lab, depending on the location.
